WahWah Makes Music More Social and Customized →
BFGcom by Emily Knab
Earlier this month, music, film and interactive folks flocked to Austin, Texas for the annual SXSW conference. One of the big mobile app announcements to come out of the event is a new social radio service called WahWah.
What is WahWah?
WahWah is a personalized radio service that makes listening to music more social and customized. You can listen with friends, fellow WahWah listeners around the globe or by yourself. The songs you hear can also relate to your location or activity you’ve selected.

Create Your Own Mobile Internet Radio Station With Wahwah →
Hypebot by By Eliot Van Buskirk
This app is nicely designed, stable from what we can tell, and does something that blew us away in 2011. There’s a lot more competition these days (Soundrop, Turntable.fm’s iOS and Android versions, and asynchronous Facebook music sharing), but the idea of broadcasting from your iPhone (albeit not as literally as you could before) to the world is still immensely appealing, especially with all of these nice extras.
- The app shows which broadcasts are trending, how many listeners they have, and what they are playing.
- Check in to any place in the area to add color to your station.
- You can chat to your listeners — or, if you are a listener yourself, with other listeners or the host.
- Sliders let you fine-tune your station.
- What are you doing? Potential listeners to your station might want to know, in case they’re doing the same thing.
- To shape your station, you can rate songs in more ways than usual.
- You can create a station based on any single artist, shape it with sliders, and describe it with your activity and location, so others can find it.

App Of The Day: Wahwah – Online Radio With Friends →
Apple’n’Apps by Trevor Sheridan
If you’re looking for free radio apps for iOS there’s no shortage of choices. Wahwah is a brand new one to pick from, and it’s main focus is social connectivity. You can connect with Facebook friends to listen to the same radio live, and connect with those close by, or across the globe. Wahwah takes it a step further by letting you pick the mood you’re in to help you customize the tracks that are played whether it’s relaxing, working, running, driving, and more. This feature is seen in Songza, but Wahwah lets you find other stations based on the mood, so you can listen to other running radio stations if you want.

The app also provides a catalog of more than 15 million songs, and you can always choose to listen solo just like you would in the other online radio apps. Simply start with an artist, and then you can fine tune your station by liking or disliking songs, and adjusting the sliders to play music based on tempo, popularity, and artist similarity. Wahwah gives you the best of online radio apps, and lets you listen live with friends so both of your are listening to the same tracks at the same time.

Wahwah by Senzari Brings Brand New Music to iOS →
TheDroidGuy by Dina
What’s up with Senzari? This is an international internet radio provider that has become widely popular in Brazil, Spain, and the USA. Senzari was battling it out with another company known as Pandora and they needed something to give them the push to surpass the company. That “something” came in the form of a dying start-up.
What did Wahwah have that no other start-up had? The idea behind Wahwah is very basic; music is social. People have stated that Wahwah made them feel like they were back in the day when walkmans had two adapters that allowed people to listen to the music together. That’s what Wahwah does. Create a playlist and with that the world can listen to what you were listening when you were at a particular place.
When Senzari took the helm they added a little something. Now not only can you listen to someone’s playlist at a particular location but you can also know what the other person was doing when listening to that playlist. The app has categories from cooking to running to walking. Just click on either one and you’ll see who was listening to what where while doing what. That is as simple as it gets.

Senzari’s relaunched Wahwah app goes live in the US →
Earlier this year, personal radio firm Senzari announced plans to rebrand itself as Wahwah, adopting the name of the mobile startup it acquired in 2012.
Now its new iPhone app appears to have gone live in the US App Store. It’s being pitched as a Songza-style service to provide streaming radio stations to suit users’ daily activities: running, cycling, driving, working and so on.
Social and location features are a big part of the mix too, though: “Have ever gone jogging and did not know what to listen to? Well, with Wahwah you can see who else is jogging around you, and even around the world, and tune in to their station to listen to the music together,” explains its App Store listing.
The service claims a catalogue of 15m songs, and the app is free to download.

Free fun iPad, iPhone apps worth downloading this weekend →
Examiner.com by George Ottusch
Another cool app that’s just been released to the App Store is “Wahwah”. This iPhone or iPad app is a personalized radio service with a social dimension. It has a catalog of 15 million songs that you can listen to for free by tapping into what others are listening to, searching by artist and creating a personalized station, browsing customized stations or select recommended music for an activity (like working or jogging).
While you can listen to music in private, that is, you tap “Only You” and are not “On Air” for others to see what you are listening to, the focus of this app is on sharing. You can see what other users are listening to, tap into the same music and have the option to chat. Free.

Senzari unveils mobile personalized radio app →
Technology company Senzari has introduced Wahwah, a new mobile music service allowing users to access music with friends while participating in their favorite activities, regardless of location. Currently available in the Apple App Store in Brazil, Spain and the US, Wahwah combines the personalized music recommendations of Senzari’s music service with the added co-listening experience of the Germany-based Wahwah.fm, acquired late last year by Senzari.
Wahwah users can start a personalized station based on a catalog of 15 million songs by typing the name of their favorite artist. Customers can also select a custom station from dozens of stations that have been specifically programmed for the activity they are doing; for example: “The Climb Radio” for cycling uphill. Users can also “tune in” to someone else’s station and co-listen in real-time.

Senzari Launches Mobile Personalized Radio App, Wahwah, at SXSW in Partnership with .CO →
Wahwah provides users with three ways to create a music experience:
- by starting a personalized station based on a catalog of 15 million songs by just typing the name of their favorite artist;
- by selecting a custom station from dozens of stations that have been specifically programmed for the activity they are doing; for example: “The Climb Radio” for cycling uphill;
- or by allowing users to “tune in” to someone else’s station and co-listen in real-time together.
Given that each station has an activity and location associated with it, Wahwah makes it easy to find other listeners based on what they are doing and where they are located. So, if a user is going for a run in Central Park, they can either start their own station or join someone that may be running in Miami Beach, to elevate the music experience to a whole new level.

Senzari Kills The Radio Star With Wahwah →
AppAdvice by Christine Chan
I’m really liking Wahwah so far, and it’s a great way to listen to music with your friends at the same time. This can have many uses, like listening to music while you’re in a study group, or with your running buddy, or just to have some quality music time with your better half. The concept of activity and location is really nice, and I’m quite surprised that it hasn’t been done before. It’s definitely one of those “why didn’t I think of that?” type of apps that you’ll definitely get a kick out of.
